Designing the 2022 sonic national convention

Go West Creative brought me on to support their work with SONIC. A fast-moving, high-level campaign for one of the top QSR brands in the country. This was a long-term partnership that demanded precision, speed, and the ability to bring big ideas to life under pressure.

From logo assets and style guides to storyboarding full video packages, I helped build out everything needed for a seamless show.

Deliverables included — video intros and outros, lower-thirds, stage stills, animation storyboards, and more. All work was done for Go West Creative as a freelance designer.

We leaned into a symbol everyone knows. because everyone needed it.

The RECHARGE logo took a straightforward concept a fully charged battery and used it to ground the theme in something instantly recognizable. More than just a symbol for energy, it represented clarity, momentum, and presence.

At the time, this wasn’t just a clever metaphor. It was a reality. People were drained. Teams were stretched. And this event was built to give them space to reset. The logo became a reminder of that purpose — not just to power through, but to actually recharge.

Simple. Intentional. Something everyone could feel the moment they saw it.
